Relay squads are central to Belgium’s Berlin line-up

The men’s 4x400m and the women’s 4x100m Relay squads are naturally the focus of Team Belgium for the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics, Berlin, Germany (15–23 Aug), given that the former finished 5th in the 2008 Olympic Games, and the women’s sprint squad - with the now retired Kim Gevaert - took a bronze in Beijing, having been the silver medallists a year earlier in Osaka.
